In the morning depart to the Lions Rock in Sigiriya, a UNESCO world heritage site adorning a palace on its peak. A must visit for anyone visiting Sri Lanka. Afterwards you can either return to the hotel and relax in the afternoon.
If you’re feeling energetic and have a thirst for adventure, Pidurangala ancient temple trek can be arranged. This is one of the best view points of Sigiriya Fortress. According to mythical histories, this is considered as the satellite communication center of King Ravana due to its shape. In the evening, visit Dambulla Cave temple.
After breakfast visit Anuradhapura, 1st Kindom of Ancient Sri Lanka and the most celebrated of Sri Lanka’s ancient ruined cities. If you’re not too tired, you could visit the Ritigala ruins on return to the hotel. However a 4 x 4 vehicle should be hired to conduct this excursion.
After breakfast proceed to Polonnaruwa, 2nd Kindom of Sri Lanka where you will see the ancient ruins of Palaces, Stone Monasteries and unbelievable stone crafts. In the evening you can head out on a safari at Minneriya National Park.
After breakfast proceed to Kandy, while visiting Spice Garden Matale en route. Later in the evening witness a Cultural Dance performance.
In the morning spend the day touring the Kandy town including a visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic. In the afternoon you can choose to relax in the pool or head to the Royal Botanical Garden.
After breakfast proceed to Nuwara Eliya. After settling in at the hotel, conduct a sightseeing tour including a visit to a Tea Factory/ Plantation.
Enjoy the cool weather by staying in the resort or take an optional early morning excursion to Horton Plains. Visit the Baker’s Falls and check out the infamous World’s End.
After breakfast proceed to the coastal town of Galle in southern Side of the country. Tour the Galle Town as well as the Galle Fort a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
After breakfast proceed to the Airport 3 hours before the flight time.
